EQUIPMENT SYSTEMS
Thruster layout, hull structure, power supply and controls all shape the installation. Start with the equipment already aboard and how you use the yacht, then discuss the system and work scope that suit the vessel.
Sleipner offers tunnel, external and retractable thruster configurations. The right arrangement depends on hull geometry, space, power supply and operating needs. Send the fitted model and installation photos with an existing-system enquiry.
Vector Fins is Sleipner’s fin stabilization system for use underway and at anchor. A project needs a review of hull structure, actuator space, hydraulic power and controls. Planning starts with the vessel and its intended use.
Identify the control panel alongside the thruster or stabilizer. Sleipner equipment can use S-Link controls; compatibility needs checking for the specific installation. Older equipment may carry the Side-Power name.
SERVICE AND INSTALLATION
Share model plates, serial numbers, supply voltage, controller details and any installation drawings. Describe the fault or proposed change and include the yacht’s location.
Kitfix carries out the agreed service work. We review the fitted equipment, access, operating requirements and reported issue with you before confirming the tasks and work arrangements.
Note control messages, changes in thrust or movement, recent work and when symptoms occur. Follow the matching equipment manual and avoid operating a system that is not behaving normally.
