Answers to Common Questions
How often should a yacht be hauled out?
Haul-out is typically planned around a 12-month cycle, with timing adjusted for the hull condition, antifouling specification, inspection requirements and local conditions such as water temperature, salinity and marine growth. Work commonly includes pressure washing, checking through-hulls and seacocks, inspecting and replacing sacrificial anodes as needed, and renewing antifouling where required.
How do I know when my engine or generator is due for service?
Follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule for your equipment. Requirements vary by model and use. Contact Kitfix if you need help checking the correct schedule.
Where can yacht maintenance be carried out?
Much routine maintenance and many repairs can be carried out at your berth when access and safety conditions allow. The equipment and work scope determine whether onboard service is suitable or a yard visit is needed. Have your location and requested work ready when you call Kitfix.
